The Springfield Hellcat burst on to the scene in 2020, redefining what was capable in the subcompact pistol market. With a higher magazine capacity than most guns it’s size and an option to take a red-dot optic, it has become one of most popular choices out there for a concealable yet powerful defensive carry pistol.
Since the Hellcat’s initial release, Hogue received numerous customer requests for grips for this popular pistol and now their engineers have responded to the call, coming up with new models of their HandALL Springfield hellcat grip sleeve line designed for the Springfield Hellcat pistol. The new Beavertail grip sleeve for the Hellcat is designed to enhance the shooting experience of this popular compact everyday carry pistol.
Hogue’s Beavertail grip sleeves on polymer pistols provide several advantages to the shooter. The ultrasoft rubber of the grip reduces felt recoil, and the beavertail feature provides added protection for the webbing of the hand as the slide moves back after the shot is fired. In addition to this, the finger grooves of the grip allows for a consistent grasp on the pistol and a secure hold.
One of the nicest features of the HandALL grip is that it provides all these benefits without resorting to custom stippling to upgrade the factory texture of polymer pistols. Hogue has found that removing portions of the frame in pursuit of a better grip will ultimately compromise the original condition of the firearm’s frame. Hogue has perfected their beavertail grip sleeve design in order to avoid this irreversible trade off and ensure a long-lasting and yet non-permanent alternative that greatly enhances the shooter’s grip experience.
